The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) are partnering to drive technology innovation and transform health care delivery for Veterans with the Million Veterans Program. Secretary Perry has brought in Navy Seal, Morgan Luttrell to help with this effort.

Secretary Perry has made it abundantly clear that he values the role that the DOE National Labs play in both the science and energy industries. He has already traveled to several labs across the Nation, and is continuing to do so – this week even! A recent podcast on the Labs was even given the thumbs up from Bill Gates.

ICYMI: The United States Emerges as “Powerful Force” in LNG trade
According to data from the Census Bureau and the U.S. Energy Information Administration, with new pipeline and LNG export capacity coming online soon, the US should close out 2017 as a net exporter of natural gas, a situation that hasn’t been seen since 1957.

COMING UP THIS MONTH
Secretary Perry is in Washington State this week touring the Pacific Northwest National Lab and the Hanford Site. He will address the workforces at both facilities and have press availability.
